With over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry Stacy L. Beverly is the go-to Costume Designer when looking to establish specific genres, story arcs, profound expression and recognizable characters in film and television. She’s responsible for creating memorable and stylish images and red carpet looks for Hollywood’s award winning and most gifted talent. She’s also headed up the costume departments for the new “Cross” series on AMAZON PRIME, the controversial film “A Lot of Nothing” for NETFLIX, and ABC’S “Big Sky”and “Black-ish” Season 1. Additionally, she’s also designed for the past hit television series “Girlfriends,” “The Game” Seasons 1-3 (the original CW series), and Ava DuVernay’s award winning film “Middle of Nowhere.” During these projects she’s created costumes and established very distinctive and monumental characters that are timeless, constantly referenced and particularly influential.
Hailing originally from Chicago, Illinois, Stacy has perfected a keen and thorough sense of complex concepts, along with the layering and intricate detail and construction of specialty garments and the creation of exceptional characters based on her extensive knowledge of fashion, history, movement, environments, textiles, silhouettes. architecture and a vast array of experiences, interests and travels across the globe.
Stacy is a graduate of FIDM, located in downtown Los Angeles. There she studied Merchandise Marketing and Costume Design, graduated Cum Laude and started working immediately on feature films and television.
